Beginning this Spring we will be offering a new opportunity for all of those interesting in joining us for group guided meditations. The meditation program will vary according to each groups needs. We will be welcoming the public for many of these programs, and offering a few exclusively to our students customized to their levels of training. Each meditation opportunity will specify whether it will be open to the public or closed to a specific group.
Meditations will be held from 8:00 am until 8:30 am on weekdays to get your day started in a more positive way. More information will follow so please keep checking for details!
Self Healing is fast becoming an important part of daily life. Everyday, people find themselves searching for fulfillment. Reiki is a process of Empowerment. It is different from other forms of therapy because of the attunement process undergone with each degree. In other forms of healing, the therapist must keep a constant focus on what they are doing to deliver the results their client came to achieve. With Reiki, you may interact with others without disrupting the flow of energy or hindering the healing process. The Key to Reiki is SIMPLICITY.
As a Reiki Practitioner, you become a facilitator for Self Healing. Learn to take yourself into deeper states of relaxation; quickly ease simple discomforts such as headaches, cramping or stomach upset; and open the door into deeper levels of health and well being. First Degree Reiki takes us on a journey through the past as we discover the foundations of it's creation. After a short break, we delve into the Mechanics of Reiki and the Anatomy of Energy. Once we have instilled a strong understanding of energy we will flow through several exercises that will allow you to experience energy first hand. In part two, begin to understand the importance and benefits of Self Healing and gain proficiency in applying Reiki and promoting healing on Physical, Mental, Emotional and even Spiritual levels. Before the conclusion of this course you will be provided with all of the tools and resources to skillfully master the first degree of this art form. Class will resume after 21 days for certification and to allow time for group sharing and questions.
OBJECTIVE:
The focus of this course lies in developing a strong background in the fundamentals of Reiki with an emphasis on the Self Healing process from a clinical perspective. Focus lies heavily on the PHYSICAL level.

Emerging from Reiki I has been a transformational experience full of self discovery... Now it is time to begin sharing the gift of Reiki with others.
As a Reiki Practitioner, you become a facilitator for Self Care. Second Degree Reiki takes us to new levels of experience as we learn to apply our knowledge of Self Healing to our friends, family and clients offering them the benefits you have now experienced.
We begin by learning the Anatomy of Energy studying in detail the flows and cycles of energy, the Energy Centers and the Subtle Bodies that make up and effect each individual. Then we re-examine the Chakra System learning advanced information about how the Chakras effect our minds and body. After a short break, we resume class with an indepth look at the infamous symbols used in Reiki and each student will receive and learn to work with the first two. Once we have instilled a strong understanding of energy we will flow through several exercises that will allow you to apply your studies in class to gain proficiency and confidence before practicing them outside.
In part two, begin to understand the importance and benefits of using Reiki to help others heal themselves, gain proficiency in applying Reiki and promoting healing on Physical, Mental, Emotional and even Spiritual levels. Before the conclusion of this course you will be provided with all of the tools and resources to skillfully master the second degree of this art form allowing you to effectively begin sharing the gift of Reiki with others.
Further the students understanding of energy and energy medicine, train the student in the basic techniques of palm healing for others and preparing them for Reiki Mastery. The emphasis is intentionally placed on the more physical aspects of healing (though still capturing aspects of spiritual healing) in this course and the first two symbols are presented and explained in detail. MENTAL & EMOTIONAL levels are explored extensively in this course.

The Master Healer's Degree explores the most advanced techniques for palm healing and asks you to master each one as your practice evolves into a life style. Discover daily devotional exercises to strengthen your energy and connect you to your higher self. Explore the meanings behind things that only seemed insignificant, until now. In this degree we will be learning eight complete advanced practices to enhance your skills and your life. We will discuss everything from breathing to diagnostic skills, how to clear a room of negativity and harmonize the energies within, how to use Reiki to treat a client with pin point accuracy, what a blockage is and how to release it, sequencing, the art of absentee healing (also known as distance healing) and even more. This intense course will offer full understanding of each element of Reiki bringing your training full circle.
Complete the students understanding of energy and energy medicine, utilizing advanced techniques for palm healing for others completing their training as Reiki Master Healer. The emphasis lies heavily on the energetic and spiritual aspects in this course and two more symbols are presented and explained in detail. The SPIRITUAL level is the primary focus in this degree completing the cycle and establishing a holistic approach.

If you have already completed training with us and met all the criteria but would like the opportunity to expand your understanding of a particular degree, we offer our students the opportunity participate in our refresher program. Our refresher program offers students the opportunity to sit in on a particular degree to expand on your previous training. In some cases an extended period of time may have passed between trainings or before offering services. Refresher courses offer the student the opportunity to:
* Receive updated information since your previous training
* Learn or brush up on new techniques implemented since your
previous training
* Build additional confidence before proceeding into the next
level of training or offering a service
* Receive an updated/revised handbook (if applicable)
* Become re-attuned (if applicable)
* Bond and Share the class room experience and with new
emerging practitioners
* Become reconnected if you feel you have lost your motivation
and connection
... without incurring the full expense of each course.
This option is only available to graduates of The Wind Institute of Healing and Meditative Arts and you may only refresh courses you have already completed. There is a fee for refresher training and will vary according to the students needs. If you are interested in participating in refresher courses, please call to discuss eligibility and receive a custom rate. If you have received training for Reiki Therapy from another provider and wish to enroll for re-training at our facility, we welcome you to join us and will need to enroll for standard training, after which you will become eligible for refresher courses.

Why We Are Different From Other Educational Opportunities:
Our goal is and has always been to produce confident students who have genuinely successfully Mastered each aspect of Reiki before advancing into the next level. Though we DO NOT take legal responsiblity for our students actions, we know every certificate we sign is a reflection of our own reputation- something we have worked hard to build, maintain and protect as well as the public's impression of Reiki as a WHOLE. Therefore, we enforce strict class requirements which can be found in the descriptions of each degree.
We are the only Traditional Japanese Reiki Center in the area offering extended training protocol. Our goal for quite some time has been to expand our training division to offer ongoing training instead of weekend courses. We are expanding our protocol and will begin offering classes once or twice a week for 2-3 hours and in semesters. Each meeting will consist of:

As each student enrolls in a course, they become eligable for our exclusive Class Enhancement Opportunities Programs in which participation becomes part of our course requirements. Opportunities include training appropriate Group Meditations,
Open & Closed Reiki Shares and our Community Outreach Programs.
To accommodate the unique training methods offered by our facility, ALL of our course books were personally written and illustrated by our Founder and Chief Instructor, Nicole Dockins, RMT, NC and are exclusively distributed to our students.

After completion of required courses, The Wind Institute offers continuing education opportunities for our students allowing them insight into specific aspects of Reiki or areas of expertise. Such specifics include: Prenatal & Postnatal Care, Pediatric Reiki, Veterinary Reiki, Transitional Relief Services and more.
